Shari Lee Polis is a dancer/teacher who dedicates herself to sharing the joy of dance with her students. Her love of children motivates her work as a teacher, dancer and choreographer for the schools and stages of New York City. A University of Michigan graduate, Shari has been studying dance since age 2. Shari has choreographed for NYU, City Lights Youth Theatre, Tada!, the rock group The Fabulous Entourage, University of Michigan, NYC public schools and the Hannah Senesh Community Day School. Her work as appeared on stage at The University of Michigan, and in NYC at the Copa Cabana, The Soho Playhouse, Vital Theater, and The Pantheon Theater. Shari has appeared in over 30 ballets, 3 movies, and one TV commercial. She trained with The National Ballet of NJ, Duffin School of Ballet, University of the Arts, University of Michigan Dance Department, Lines Contemporary Ballet in San Francisco, Mission Dance of San Francisco, Peridance, and Broadway Dance Center. She performs currently with Broadway Dance Center. Having grown up performing both on screen and stage, Shari looks forward to bringing the exhilarating energy of dance to people of all ages and cultures through the UpBring Dance Company.
Shari teaches in the Performance Dance Classes, Toddler Dance, TnT, TC, and Musical Theater.
