New Year, New Space!

UpBring is excited to enter the new dance year in a new space. We will be entering our 9th year in the Bococa area at Area! All UpBring classes will now be held at Area Yoga - 320 Court Street between Sackett and Degraw. Just steps away from the subway on Smith Street, we are happy to call Area Yoga our new home.

Michael Jackson 1958-2009

I would like to write a blog post in honor of the music and dancing of Michael Jackson, 1958-2009. I grew up dancing to Michael's music in my basement. When "Thriller" first came out when I was six years old, I learned every zombie dance step by watching the video and performed the steps for my family to much applause and laughter.

UpBring Dance Company is an exciting dance group for kids and teens ages 2-15, based in beautiful Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. UpBring incorporates all styles of dance - jazz, hip- hop, lyrical, theater dance, modern, Salsa, Hula, African - but most of all, it's fun! UpBring nurtures self-esteem and creativity in children while teaching many aspects of dance performance including technique, stage presence, and choreography. This is UpBring's 9th year serving the wonderful community in Brooklyn.

We have a new space! Classes are held at Area Yoga, 320 Court Street, between Sackett and Degraw Streets, Brooklyn, NY.
